Behind The Tree That Looked Through the Window
I wrote The Tree That Looked Through the Window as an analogy—a simple story carrying much larger questions beneath its branches. It explores external validation, the empty chase of status and material success, and the difference between building a life from the outside in and growing one from the inside out.
At its heart is the freedom to question the scripts we inherit, step outside the boxes we are given, and discover what genuinely makes us tick. That journey can be slow—as slow as a tree grows—but the result can become deeply rooted, resilient, self-sustaining and, eventually, strong enough to shelter others.
And somewhere along the way, the story led me to a new theory about that famous riddle: why did the chicken cross the road? Perhaps because he finally realised he could.
