Verse
With a lift, the little tree was carried away..
So strange was this feeling,
He still wanted to stay.
It was so scary to leave what he'd always known.
To go out and venture,
And be all on his own.
Close to the gates now, he could see the world so wide.
How noisy and busy,
With nowhere he could hide.
Watching his family, he was happy to see
His family still cared,
They would cherish this tree.
Off they go, faster and faster, home left behind.
Everything is a whirl,
What strange things would he find?
Just a huge winding black snake that stretched out ahead.
Stopping at its red eyes,
Whenever they glowed red.

Chorus
Carried away! Carried away!
Oh, what a wonderful, magical day!
The world's so big, there's so much to see,
And everyone seems so delighted with me!
Carried away! Carried away!
I'm somebody special, hooray, hooray!
With glitter and gold, and a star shining bright,
I'm king of the castle, the star of the night!

Verse
Many strange boxes appear as their journey slows.
Colourful, big and small,
All sitting there in rows.
How very strange these homes all looked to little tree.
So different from the farm,
What could his new life be?
Standing in a room, positioned in the centre.
He felt very special,
First seen when they enter.
Then the family fussed and dressed him all in gold.
Sparkling balls, twinkling lights,
And one star to behold.
Dancing all around him and singing him a song,
Always taking photos
They praised him all day long.
Fancy precious parcels were gathered at his side.
His new job as the star
Made him swell up with pride
